IAN DONALD – Advanced Ultrasound Course, 2011 İSTANBUL

It was the first time organized at 23-28 April 1995 in Istanbul and then Ian Donald Advanced Ultrasound Course has been an scientific attraction and very well attended meeting. It is an advanced ultrasound course in Obstetrics and Gynecology for which recent developments on the use of clinical ultrasound and contemporary scientific improvements being covered. As a clinical tool, ultrasonography is being wideiy used in clinical practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

There has been always dicussions and medicol-legal issues on standarts of clinical ultrasound and how scientific developments can be transfered into daily practice because ultrasponugraphy is the main examination tools in Obstterics and Gynecology, not complemantary method as in other disciplines such as Radiology. In this context, recent developments on ultrasound as a diagnostic and therapeutic power are being covered and presented and discussed by top experts from different countries.
